After the Museum of African Art, we took the students to the Holocaust Museum. Students were exposed to the oppressions and executions of the Jews during World War II. This was an experience that greatly impacted our students.

I saw this museum on Oprah. The most depressing thing I saw, and what spoke volumes about the absolutely horrific things that happened to millions of people was the room full of shoes! Did 'yall see that? This room was piled high - nearly as high as the ceiling - with shoes and things that belonged to the people who were SLAUGHTERED during this terrible, terrible time in our history. Hope you all can appreciate the gift of life itself.
